Anthony Percell, 61, passed away on February 13, 2021 in his home in the arms of his loving wife, Connie. The funeral honoring Anthony will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mount Zion Baptist Church #2, 24400 Eleanor Dr, Plaquemine, LA 70764, followed by internment at Heavenly Gates Mausoleum of Baton Rouge. Anthony was born on the 15th of April, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to Inez Dickerson and Alvin Bryant. He was baptized on June 8, 1969 at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, where he would become a member of Usher Board #2 and remained a member of the church until 2018. He moved his membership to Sweet Home Baptist Church of Maringouin, LA later in the same year. Anthony married Connie Gilbert on December 20, 1980. The couple birthed two children, Alexis Landry (Prairieville, LA) and Anthony Percell, Jr (Atlanta, GA). Anthony worked as a Valve Technician at Southern Valve Company until he retired due to health issues in 1996. Anthony is survived by his wife, Connie Percell; daughter, Alexis (Gerard) Landry; son, Anthony Percell Jr; father- and mother-in-law, Albert and Shirley Gilbert; sister, Takanya (Drake) White; brothers, Michael Dickerson and Anthony (Carolyn) Gauthier, Sr; granddaughters, Peyton and Britton Landry; numerous godchildren, sisters- and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers and numerous uncles and aunts.
