Mac passed away peacefully at his home on August 5, 2018, at the age of 76. He was a resident of French Settlement and a native of Houma, Louisiana. Mac was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 30 years, Judi Ryan McFatter; his son, Arthur L. McFatter, Jr. (Lynn) and his wife Donna; his step-daughters, Lorie McKenzie Smith and Lisa McKenzie Hight; his sister, Ouida Krajewski and her husband Tom; and his grandchildren, Samantha McFatter, Madalynn McFatter, Austin Hight, Meta Hight, Caitlin Cano, Travis Smith and Dawson Smith, along with his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Webster McFatter and Nellie Cole McFatter. Mac was the valedictorian of his graduating class from Terrebonne High School. He received his bachelor's degree from LSU, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a United States Army veteran who loved spending his retirement working on his ranch and with his family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mac's memory to your local animal shelter.
