Betty Bellizan Collins was born on February 2, 1947 to the late Isaac Bellizan, Sr. and Lillian Bellizan. She was a resident of Baton Rouge. Betty was called home from her residence on August 6, 2018. Betty was the fourth of six children. She was married to the late Joseph Collins. She graduated in 1966 from Rosenwald High School in New Roads, LA. Betty was a cook at Winn-Dixie & Catered. She enjoyed cooking & entertaining family. Betty always opened her door for anyone in need. Betty left to cherish her memories Two (2) children, son, Derrick (Pam) Collins and daughter, Shonta (Fabian) Graves; Six Grandchildren, Patrice, Jeremy, Diamond, Damarion, Nevaehia and Johnathan; Five Great-grandchildren; Three God-children. She will be missed dearly by her Two sisters, Irma Leufroy and Bernetta B. Thomas and a Brother, John L. Bellizan (Emma); Two aunts, Florita Joseph and Thelma Porche; Two sisters-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was welcomed to her heavenly home by her parents, Isaac Bellizan, Sr. and Lillian Bellizan, two brothers, Isaac Bellizan, Jr. and Larry Bellizan and other relatives and friends.
