Betty C. Hoyt Greaud "Maw-Maw Betty" passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the age of 83. She was a native of Fair View, LA and a long-time resident of West Baton Rouge Parish and Livingston, LA. Betty was known as a little lady by stature and a big prayer warrior by heart. She adored her church, House of Prayer Holiness Church, and her church family. She always had a smile on her face and a hug for everyone. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles E. Greaud; special niece, Pat Sproles and husband, Roger; and numerous other family members. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Hoyt and Eula Cain Hoyt; sisters, Mary Alice Murray and Hattie Mae Sanders; brother, Herbert Edward Hoyt, Sr.; and uncles, Robert, Fred and Monroe Cain, and Sam and LeRoy Hoyt. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, January 14, 2019, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 8:00AM until the time of funeral services at 10:00AM, officiated by Ray McDonald, Troy Romig and Bo Achord. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Creed and his staff at Ochsner Medical Center and Clarity Hospice for all their kindness and care for Maw-Maw Betty.
