Betty Jo Phillips, a resident of Baton Rouge, she died February 12, 2021 at home with family. She was 97. Religious services conducted by the Rev. Don Mahan. Internment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two sisters, Pauline Shirley (DeQuincy, LA) and Mary Ellen Goepfert (Baton Rouge); three sons, two daughters, and their spouses, William G. and Liz Phillips (Diberville, MS), Melissa (Phillips) Henry (Baton Rouge), Gregory and Michelle Phillips (Midland, TX), Jeffrey and Liz Phillips (Baton Rouge), Gary and Dixie (Phillips) Faller (Hammond), nine grandchildren, Monina Phillips, Jeanie Nieto, Loretta Henry, Brandon Phillips, Jonathon Phillips, Neal Wallace, Hank Wallace, Gabrielle Phillips, Kimberly Phillips; seven great grandchildren, Mikuela Nieto, Stephanie Nieto, Elizabeth Henry, Dillan Phillips, Delyla Phillips, Aiden Phillips, and Christyona Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Elliott Phillips, Sr.; son, Ernest Elliott Phillips, Jr.; brother, Gordy Jacobs and sister, Dixie Crelin. She retired from LSU Facilities Services. She was a faithful Christian.
