A native of Pottsville, PA and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died early Sunday morning, November 9, 2014 at the age of 68. He was a CPA and a veteran of the US Army, serving 29 years of both active and reserve duty. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He retired as a Lt. Col. and was inducted into the Hall of Honor for the Cadets of the Old War Skule in 2003. Calvin was a member of Cortana Kiwanis Club and was currently serving as President. He was Past Lieutenant Governor of Division 8A of the LaMissTenn District and received the Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award. Calvin was a Life Member of Kiwanis International and the Past District Officers Association. He was a Hixon Fellow, a Zeller Fellow and a recipient of the Kiwanis Legion of Honor for over 35 years of service. Calvin received the Tablet of Honor designation of the LaMissTenn District Foundation. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm. Visiting will resume at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road, at 9am and will continue until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda L. Robbins; his son, James "Jimmy" and his wife Sondra J. Robbins of Prairieville; and by his daughter, Jessica R. Breeden and her husband Michael Breeden of New Orleans. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Garrett Butler, Parker Robbins, and Lucy Breeden; and by his sister, Susan Robbins of Plaquemine. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin L.
