Catherine Thomas Morton, a native of Convent and a resident of LaPlace. She passed away peacefully at University Medical Center in New Orleans, on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 73. A public walk-thru visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 623 Railroad Avenue, Donaldsonville, on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Funeral Home 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by a Private Limited Family Only Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Eric Keller of First Community Antioch B.C., Officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph's Mausoleum, Paulina. Masks Must Be Worn At All Times. Survived by her husband, Alvin Morton. Daughter, Tanny (Isadore) Riley. Her sons, Rodrick Thomas and Izell (Kim) Thomas. Her sisters, Bertha Joseph, Bernadette Coleman, Paulette (Leroy) Washington, Theresa (Charles, Sr.) Washington, Joyce (Alvin) Washington, Kathleen (Chad) Gauthreaux and Diane Honor. Her brothers, Wilbert (Glenda) Diggs, Frank (Alanda) Diggs, Burnell Joseph and Lloyd Ricky Jackson. Sisters-in-law, Joyce Morton, Shelia Morton and Adline and Peggy Jackson.
