We enjoyed many years of friendship with Charles and Vickie when we were both in Baton Rouge. We enjoyed visiting them in North Carolina and Northern Georgia too. Lots of fun. Charles was a hard working guy and a very attentive host as was Vickie. It is hard to realize that we are at the stage of loss of friends but it is the time for grieving the loss of sweet times in the past. God will take good care of his son, Charles, and we can be blessed with good memories.

It was a joy to know Charles. He was always so gracious and fun to be with. I have wonderful memories of the times in Jackson, MS when he and Gayle worked together as they were beginning their careers. My gosh, we were SO YOUNG, and had babies! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Vickie, during this most difficult time. May God's love and blessings sustain you during the coming days.

Charlie was a great guy to work with. During his tenure the LBA moved forward with a new banking code and legislation providing for interstate banking, followed by intrastate banking. Charlie created a good work environment, but his main attribute was his love for Vicki and Tiffani.
