On September 16, 2021 Charlotte Irene Simmons Harbuck-Royal left her earthly body and went to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born and raised in Slaughter, LA and was a lifelong member of the Zachary Church of Christ. Anyone who knew her would describe her as sweet and caring; she had a servant's heart and was always happy to help anyone in need. She loved God and devoted her life to him and taught countless generations of his love in Sunday School. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Royal; her brother, H.K. Simmons; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola & Harold Powers, Darlene & Teddy Gill, and Donna & Lee A. Ross, Sr.; and numerous nieces & nephews that all loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Billy Ray Harbuck; her parents, Charles & Hilda Simmons; Sister-in -Law Theresa Simmons; and nephews Brent Powers and Lee A. Ross, II. Services will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10am with service at 12pm. She will be laid to rest at Feliciana Rest Cemetery in Slaughter, LA. Pallbearers will be Brandon Powers, Justin Birch, Cole Schlatre, Dane Travis, Caden Birch, Keaton Powers, Kash Powers & Steven Pittman. Honorary Pallbearers: H. Wayne Powers, Jr. and Jeremy Birch.
