Funeral services for Claire White Harmon, 75, will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen, on Saturday, September 22nd from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Rev. David Allen, with burial at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Brusly. Ms. Harmon, a native and longtime resident of Port Allen, died the morning of Friday, September 14th, 2018 in San Marcos, TX. Claire was residing in Kingwood, TX and moved to San Marcos following Hurricane Harvey. Her mother, Lucille Landry White managed the kitchen at Holy Family School, and Claire was a first grade student at Holy Family School's first year. Claire graduated from Port Allen High School, and received Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Louisiana State University. She was a retired Chemist from Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station at Louisiana State University. She is survived by her brother, Paul J. White Jr., Port Allen; sons, Vaughn David Harmon and his wife Victoria Camille Hawkins of Austin, TX; Sean Paul Harmon and his wife Cindy Benedetto Harmon, of Kingwood, TX; and Brad Perry Harmon and his wife Dana Grant Harmon, of Austin, TX; grandchildren Jack, Reid, Grant, Lucy, Caroline, and Marcelline; and nephew Brian White, and niece Blakeley White-McGuire. Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lucille Landry White. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Church or to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Claire was a joy at the office and at life in general. Her uplifting spirit and kindheartedness will fill our hearts forever; may God's peace be with all of her loved ones through this difficult time.
