Clotilde (Tickie) Guidry, age 88, died peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at OLOL hospital. She was a life-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA and former employee of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff office. Some of her favorite pastimes included fishing, horse races, home improvement projects and cooking extravagant meals for her family during the holidays. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Lee Guidry; her children Karen Zimmerle, Dwayne Zimmerle, Cindy Zimmerle Maranto and husband Robert (Nufer), and Barry Zimmerle; son-in-law Anthony Short; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Carl Guidry and wife Barbara, and their family Tommy and Margaret Guidry, Stacie and Larry Whitesell, Kevin and Dr. Kathy Guidry, Greg and Susan Guidry, Gerard Guidry, Susan Aguilar and Jim Dutcher, David Guidry, and Stephanie and Paul Aucoin. She is preceded in death by her children Craig Zimmerle and Diane Zimmerle Short, her brothers Clovis Hendry, James (Buddy) Hendry, Daryl (Deb) Hendry, her sisters Lynette Hendry Grady and Patricia (Pat) Hendry Jacob and her parents Basil and Clotilde Stanfill Hendry. Her family wishes to express extreme gratitude to her long-term sitters Keely Tullier and Jackie Brue for their generous and loving care provided during this past year. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, LA. The family plans to gather at a private mass to pay final respects. At her request, there will be no funeral services.
