Clyde Cannon Obituary

Clyde L. Cannon, a native of Acy, LA and a 61 year resident of Greenwell Springs, LA passed away on February 11, 2020 at the LA War Veterans in Jackson, LA at the age of 86. He was a Korean War Veteran. He served in the Marine Corp, active duty for three years and five years reserve. He worked at Gulf States and retired from Capital City Press as a Newspaper distributor. He was preceded in death by His loving wife of 52 years, Violet Joyce Cotton Cannon, father, Jesse Cannon, Sr., Mother Julia Tanner Cannon Bache, Lillian Cannon, step-mother, sister, Glayds Youngblood, brother, Jesse Cannon, Jr. and son-in law Del Causey. He is survived by two daughters: Rhonda C. Causey and Rena J. Cannon, Joey Porter. He was known as "Pops" to his grandchildren: Kimberly Thames and spouse Joel, Andrea Frederick and spouse Len, Matthew Causey and spouse Amber, and Jordan Porter. Great grandchildren: Breelynn and Tyler Thames, Ethan Frederick, Katie, Allie, and Lizzie Causey. Brother, John Bache and brother-in-law Dennie Talmadge Cotton, Sisters: Debra Bache Bolton, Pat Cannon, and Annette Whatley, and sister-in-law, Alice Landy, also numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 12:00pm- 2:00 pm. Funeral services following at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
