Dave James Kimball

Dave James Kimball passed February 11, 2021 (76) at St. Claire Manor, Baton Rouge. Born in Plaucheville, LA on March 7, 1944, graduated from Nicholls High, New Orleans. Worked for BellSouth and Enterprise. Member of Pioneers of America, Lion's Club, MBS Men's Club. Survived by children Michelle and Dave Kimball, Hammond. Preceded in death by parents Blanche and Philip Kimball, brothers Herbert and Newton Kimball. Mass for family and close friends only at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, February 19, 2021 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Special thanks to Barbara Kimball, Fr. Joey Angeles and Notre Dame Hospice for their love and compassion.

I went to High School with Dave in New Orleans. Years later I worked for him at BellSouth. I enjoyed seeing him at High School reunion events. He will be missed by many. Rest In Peace , my Brother.

Dave was a fine man and a good and loyal friend to my father, Glenn Smith. Dave made the considerable trip to visit my father every Saturday at the Veterans Home in Jackson, LA. I will always appreciate that. Rest in peace, Dave.

Don and Dave were coworkers but also the best of friends throughout the years. After we moved to California he came to visit. He made hog head cheese.
