Dianne Frances Lambert Auzenne left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2018, after a brief stay at the Nottingham Nursing Home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dianne Auzenne was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived there all her life. Dianne was married but once, and of that marriage two (2) children were born, Stacy Christopher Auzenne (wife, Monique) and Monique Marcella Auzenne Branch. Dianne's parents predeceased her; first her father, Camille Lambert, and later her mother, Myrtle L. Lambert. Dianne had two (2) siblings, Loyce Lambert Karamouzos and Joseph Charles Lambert, who both predeceased her. Dianne's first loves were her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers, her church, community, and singing off-key in church choir. Dianne always worshiped the Lord and prayed daily. She worked for the State of Louisiana, Office of Group Benefits for 34 years, retiring as a Purchasing Agent. One of the great ironies of Dianne's life was that she got paid to do what she loved most of all – shop! Dianne never saw a store that she wouldn't shop in, and absolutely could not pass up a deal of any kind. Dianne loved to grow flowers, especially Gladiolas, Ivies, Stargazer Lilies, and her favorite Bird of Paradise. Please send flowers to the Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government Street, since Dianne absolutely loved them, and would love nothing more than to see the funeral home filled with them. Those left to treasure Dianne's memory include her children, Stacy Christopher Auzenne (wife, Monique) of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Monique Auzenne Branch of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dianne's grandchildren include Brooke Allen Smith Broussard (husband, Adam), Christopher James Auzenne (dog, Avery), Marleigh Alana Smith, and Jennifer Anne Auzenne (cat, O'Malley). A special thanks to Ms. Rose Young, who cared for Dianne in her last days. Also, a special thanks to Dianne's co-workers from the Office of Group Benefits. A Wake will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (Downtown) on Monday, December 10, 2018, beginning at 5:00 p.m. lasting until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at the church at 9:00 a.m. The Most Reverend Cleo Milano and Most Reverend Miles Walsh will preside over Dianne's funeral. Pallbearers will be Christopher James Auzenne, Tim Smith, Colbi Rosenthal, Adam Broussard, Kade Savoy, and Daniel Darensbourg. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Moberly, Hubert Lincecum, Mike Lambert, Anthony Douglas Auzenne Jr., and Johnny Karamouzos.

Dianne, I miss you my friend. You never forgot to call me for my birthday. I missed not hearing your voice on yesterday. We would laugh and cutup whenever we would talk to each other. Rest in peace, my friend.
