Donald passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 84. He was a retired Fire Coordinator from Dow Chemical; resident of Plaquemine, La and a native of West Baton Rouge Parish. A US Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. Visiting will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 10:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. He is survived by his children, Mary Kim Fowler and husband Larry, Vickie Seneca and husband Joel, Robin Thibodeaux and husband Mark, and Donald David, Jr.; grandchildren, Crystal Martinez and husband Wade, April Spillman and husband Jody, Jeremy Seneca, Nicole Fabre and husband Tim, Tiffany and Breanna Thibodeaux, and Kaitlin and Connor David; great grandchildren, Landon and Riley Martinez, Logan and Carlee Spillman, Ethan, Addison and Laney Seneca, Brayden, Elise and Emma Fabre, and Isabella Thibodeaux; sisters, Elizabeth Bourque and Gracie Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Blanchard David; son, Dale David; parents, Sidney and Hazel David; sister, Iris David; and brother, Nolan "Piyas" David. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Seneca, Connor David, Wade Martinez, Jody Spillman, Tim Fabre, David Hernandez, Wayne and Darrin Dellucci. Honorary pallbearers Ethan Seneca, Brayden Fabre, Logan Spillman and Landon Martinez. Donald was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus.
