Donna Whitfield White entered into eternal rest at her daughters' residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was a 73-year-old native of Bains, Louisiana, and a resident of St. Francisville, Louisiana. Viewing at Miller & Daughter Mortuary on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 4-6 pm; viewing resumes on Saturday, January 16, 2021, from 8-9:45 am; due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be conducted by Dr. Lionel Davis; entombment at Greenoaks Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda and Shondra White; Nadia Whitfield, a niece whom she considered her daughter; siblings, James "Tex" Sr. (Marie), Herbert (Helen), Nathaniel "Pete" (Ethel) and Cheryl Whitfield, Earline Osaya (Andrew), and Alice Mae Williams (David); also a cousin (reared as sisters) Hazel Bell (George); Godchildren, Deadra Whitfield, Deanne Mitchell, Jonathan Coats, and Krisdiona Williams; other relatives and friends; preceded in death by her parents, Sam Whitfield and Sallie Whitfield Mackie; siblings, Sam and Ledell Whitfield, Sr. She was a member of Afton Villa Baptist Church, Pride of Laurel Hill, Chapter #31 Order of the Eastern Star, and a faithful visitor of Magnolia Full Gospel Baptist Church.
