Dwayne David "DD" Guynes, native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, was born on June 28, 1977 and passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Carpenter House. He was 41 years old. Dwayne was a Field Service Manager for Delta Rigging and Tools who previously worked as an electrician and supervisor. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing, family time and hanging out with friends. Dwayne was a 1995 St. Amant High School graduate. Dwayne is survived by his wife, Angelina (Angel) Guynes; mother, Evelyn Guynes; father, Reginald (Reggie) Tullier; grandparents, Douglas and Kathy Mosley; daughter, Keely (Bugs) Cutrer; son, William (Wet) Delatte, Jr.; sisters, Darlene Guynes and Regina Tullier; brother, Clifford (Bubba) Guynes, Jr.; niece, Layna Bourgeois; uncle, Grady "Pops" Benson; favorite little cousin, Dakoda Lane and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Fannie Furlow; great-grandfather, Wince Furlow; uncle, Ronald (Truman) Lane; and grandfather, Lawrence Lane Sr. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM and will resume at St. John Catholic Church, Prairieville on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 9:30AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM, celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Burial to follow at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Daniel Arnold, William Delatte, Jr., Arthur Ficklin, Jr., Carlin De Veer, Brian Landry, David Thomas III, Clifford Guynes, Jr. and Zachariah McAdams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Guerin, Aaron Elisar, Chad Cahoon, Derrick LeBlanc, Grady Benson and Bobby LeBlanc, Jr. Special thanks to all the wonderful nurses at Tulane, doctors and nurses at Sage Rehabilitation (especially Kristi and Paula)and Carpenter House.
