Earline "Early Byrd" Smith was born on Dec. 6, 1944 to the late Albert and Beatrice Hines Sr. She departed her life on April 7, 2013 at her home in Darrow, La. Earline was baptized at an early age at Jeremiah Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Saul and later joined The Christian Assembly, where she served in the choir for 30+ years. Earline was a joyful person and will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband George Edward Smith; daughters Karen Jackson(Leroy), Benita Hardy(Steven), Marlene Eisley, Darlene Sterling(Andre); 2 sisters, Velma Johnson and Earline Shultz; 3 Brothers, Albert Hines Jr.(Patricia), Rev. Liddle Hines and Isaac Hines(Joycelyn); 1 sister-in-law, Grace Holiday; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grand child; a host of neices, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Hines Sr., mother, Beatrice Hines,brother, Jule Hines, grandaughter, Tiffany Prestly, grandsons, Qua'Various Wilson and John Prestly III, great grandson, Herchel Prestly Jr. and brother-in-law, George Johnson. Graveside dismissal only- Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Christian Assembly Cemetery, 42158 Highway 941 Gonzales, La. Pastor Richard Rayborn II. Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Well, Earline it been two week now, went to Velma, Sunday. Issac and his family was there, Albert called and we said you were Missing, very much, I missw you alot. Era -Sunshine La.
