On Saturday, May 12, 2018, Edna changed her address from her earthly home to Heaven, at the age of 92. She was a native of Walker and a resident of Baton Rouge. Edna was a faithful Christian who attended Christian Life Church in Baton Rouge, and before retiring, she enjoyed a long and successful career as a female entrepreneur. She loved all of her grandchildren so much that she was like a second mother to them, especially her special needs grandson Cody. In addition to her family and her church, she loved to hunt, fish, and spend time at her camp on the Chinquapin Canal. She is survived by her children, Sundra Roubique Steinhauer and husband Herman, Catherine "Cathy" Blount Hayman and husband Rocky; her grandchildren, Heather & Taw Avery, Cassidy & Ashley Steinhauer, Trinidy & Rachel Steinhauer, Cody Steinhauer, Brittany & Dustin Mattern, Crystal & A.J. Powell, and Rachel & Shelby Johnson; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Steele, Axle, Chisel, Ryker, Cross, Collins, Blaze, Brooke, Alex, Lawson, Shelby, Michael, Wyatt, and Harper; as well as one sister, Dorothy Faye S. Cassels. She is preceded in death by her parents Winfield and Ella Hood Sutcliffe; and four sisters, Merle Howze, Gladys Kinchen, Iris Achord, and Lillian Gill. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin and Manley Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Christ's Community Church 26574 Juban Rd., Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 3:00 p.m. Bro. David Kinchen and Bro. Val Taylor will officiate the service with interment to follow in Palmetto Cemetery in Walker. Online condolences may be left at www.mclinfuneralhome.com.
