Edward Pierce Hargrove, Jr. beloved brother, father and grandfather was born in Plaquemine on January 5, 1938 and he passed away at his home at the age of 83 on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He attended St. Stanislaus and was a graduate of Plaquemine High School. He worked for A. Wilbert's Sons for over 39 years, retiring in 2000. His hobbies included golfing, playing cards, traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Family was the most important part of his life. He was a member of the KC Council 970 and a U.S. Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Myrna Landry Hargrove, his son, E.P. (Sonny) Hargrove, III, his parents Edward, Sr. and Janet Wilbert Hargrove. He is survived by, daughter, Danielle Hargrove LeBouef (Greg); son, Thomas Crockett Hargrove (Paige); and daughter, Dayna Hargrove LeGrange (Brandon); six grandchildren, Chase LeBouef, Alise LeBouef Sollie (Christopher), Hannah Hargrove, Emma Hargrove and Micah LeGrange; and one great-grandchild, Grayson Sollie. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Janet Hargrove Vial (Leon) and her family; his in-laws, Curtis Landry, Jr. (Kathy), Mary Agnes (Tootsie) Noel Black, and Faith Landry Williams. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Wilbert Funeral Home from 8:00 am until 9:30 am followed by a Rite of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 am. Private Entombment will be in Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. John Alumni Association or St. John Legacy Fund. Pallbearers will be Chase LeBouef, Micah LeGrange, Christopher Sollie, Michael Noel, Mark Noel, Neal Noel, and Duggan Landry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Allain, Billy Case, Dr. James Grace, Martin Miranda, Van Junot, Charles Delapasse, Lon Vial, Tom Vial, John Vial and John Watson.
