Eric Morton Obituary

Eric Richard Morton went to his eternal home on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the age of 39. He had a smile that would light up a room and had a heart of gold. He was a willing servant to those in need, especially in the sober living community, where he gave back in countless hours of service. He loved to hunt and fish. Eric was a member of FUMC Denham Springs, LA and Local 214 Sheet Metal Workers Union. Eric is survived by mother, Susan Ballard and husband, Danny; father, Richard Morton and wife, Pat Morton (Orlando, FL); children, Reed and Bentley Morton; brother, Aaron Morton; step-sisters, Chantelle (Brad) Varnado and Mishaux (Chanse) Ramirez; step-brother, Nicholas Newman (Orlando, FL); nephew, Mason Ballard and his fiancé, Lisa Turner and her children, Haliegh and William; and paternal grandmother, Shirley Morton (Clermont, FL). Eric is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Don and Opal Bradley; paternal grandfather, Charles Morton; and uncle, Randy Morton. There will be a private visitation and service. Greenoaks Funeral Home handled arrangements.
