Ethel Parsons Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother. Born January 5, 1950, in Baton Rouge, Cindee passed away at the age of 68 on September 21, 2018 in the loving embrace of her devoted husband, our father, Thomas Aaron Parsons, Sr. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was known as "Meemaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Cindee was a very special person to the entire family. She was beautiful, kind, and immensely generous. She was a talented pianist and had a lovely singing voice. She enjoyed spending time with her little Yorkie, Sophie that followed her everywhere. Cindee absolutely loved Christmas, she bought a gift for everyone she knew and loved. Her marriage to our Daddy was over 51 years long and all who knew Cindee and Tommy witnessed the devotion she was shown by her husband. Her love of "cupcakes" was legend and Tommy made sure she had all she wanted! He simply adored her and it was a precious relationship of love. To cherish her memory she leaves one daughter, Lori Elizabeth Parsons, one son, Thomas Aaron Parsons, Jr., his wife Brandy. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Christian Bryant, Dylan Thomas, (his fiancé Jessica Herrington), and Andrew "Blake" Waguespack; Alexander "Alex" Cole, Ethan Grant, and Jenna Kate Parsons and her great-grandchild, Sebastian Cade Waguespack; her sisters-in-law Eddie Dimaio, (her husband Nickie) and Teri Parsons; and her brothers-in-law Jerry Parsons and David Parsons, (his wife Tricia.) She was preceded in death by an infant son and infant grand-daughter Kinsley Rose Parsons, her parents Irvin and Winnie Head and her mother and father-in-law, Thomas Andrew and Marguerite "Margie" Parsons. Cindee will also be terribly missed by a large host of relatives and friends especially her close friendship to Ms. Irma Cann. Visiting will be Wednesday, September 26th from 5-9 at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd. with a Rosary at 6:30pm. Visitation and Mass given by Father Michael Miceli will be Thursday, September 27th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln. beginning at 9 with mass at 11 followed by interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alexander "Alex" Cole and Ethan Grant Parsons; Pallbearers will be Thomas Aaron Parsons, Jr. Christian Bryant, Dylan Thomas and Andrew "Blake" Waguespack, Gerald "Jerry" Parsons, David Brian Parsons, Ivan Tella Cabrera, and her Godson Mark Samuel "Sam" Dixon. Thank you Momma for giving us the gift of life and your unconditional love. We will honor your memory for all of our lives.

Not sure what to say?

Tommy and family, Richard and I both worked with Cindee at the Driver's License office on College Drive. She was such a sweet and beautiful lady. I just found out today that she passed away last September. It was such a pleasure to know her and work with her all those years ago. I will never forget when I was looking for a day care and she told about the one Lori and Tommy went to on Jefferson Highway. She was always willing to help others out in any way that she could. Such a kind and loving spirit is now an angel watching over us all. We send our prayers to you for comfort and peace at this very difficult time.
