"With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation." Ps. 91:16. Rev. Everett R. Hurley, age 90, went to his eternal heavenly home on January 10, 2021. Born November 11, 1930 in Alton, IL, he served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, all of his life, pioneering, building and pastoring churches for almost 65 years. He was ordained with the Assemblies of God. He was a great musician and loved church music, directing many great choirs in his own churches and throughout the state of Louisiana. In his later years, he was a member of the Baton Rouge Concert Band, playing his baritone horn. Everett is survived by his loving wife, Ilene, of 67 years; daughter Cindy Fern; son Mark Hurley (Annie); 5 grandchildren, Matthew Hurley (Michelle), Rachel Hunt (Chris), Michael Hurley (Emily), Brooke Fern and Summer Fern; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Esther Lynch; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Eurah G. Hurley and mother, Leta Thomas Williams and other in-laws. Visitation and memorial service will be on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Cornerstone Fellowship at 3911 Blackwater Rd. in Central, La. Memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm, following visitation time,' officiated by Rev. Dick Metz. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 6213 Groom Rd., Baker, La.
