Frances "Fran" Rebecca Cooper Blondiau, age 72, a retired employee of AT&T (Southern Bell, South Central Bell, & Bell South) passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 4:50 PM. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 50 years, Alfred Blondiau who has been a loyal, loving husband, companion, proud father and devoted grandfather. Mother of Michael Blondiau (Tanya) and Matthew Blondiau (Paige). Grandmother of Samantha Blondiau, Hallie Blondiau, and Ava Granger. Daughter of the late Roy James Cooper and Mercedes Abadie Cooper. Sister of Melanie Alario (Terry) of Baton Rouge, Janice Jenkins (Ed) and Teresa Dowdle (Wayne) of Gulfport, MS, Jack Cooper (Laura) of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert Cooper (Shirley) of Lafitte, LA, Daniel Cooper (Debbie) of Gretna, LA and the late James Raymond Cooper. Fran was born in Lakehurst, NJ on July 27, 1945, longtime resident of Harvey, LA and resident of Lafayette, LA since 2006. She had a strong Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Church, Maurice, LA. She loved planning and attending family reunions, geneaology, playing cards and games, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. She loved being Nana to her three granddaughters. She was President of the Board of Directors of Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana, volunteer for Lafayette General at UHC, New Acadians Social Club, AT&T Telecom Pioneers, and Acadian Republican Women. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 1 PM. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation will be held in the parlor from 9 AM until 1 PM. Eulogies will be shared in the parlor at 12:15 PM.
