Frank Pasqua, 78, a resident and native of Plaquemine, passed away on January 5th, 2021. He had a Masters degree in education and worked tirelessly his entire life as an educator and coach, influencing multiple lives along the way. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 16th, at St.John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at 1 p.m., with burial to follow in Grace Memorial Park. Frank was a kind and loving spouse to his wife of 55 years, Sandy, and an amazing father to his children, Steven, Bonnie, Michael, and Aimee. He was very generous and always helped out family, friends, and neighbors any way he could. He was very personable, never met a stranger, and always made people feel welcome. He enjoyed telling Boudreaux jokes to anyone who would listen and his one-liners would always put a smile on your face. He loved his family, he loved his Catholic faith, and he loved the people of Plaquemine. Frank is survived by his wife, Sandra Rivet Pasqua; son, Michael Pasqua; daughter, Aimee Borazanci and husband Erkut; granddaughters, Paige and Wren Borazanci; two sisters, Josie Thomas and husband Jack, and Ginger Emfinger and husband Max; four nephews, Eric Emfinger and wife Jennifer, Bubba Huesmann and wife Cynthia, Mark Huesmann and wife Kay, Patrick Huesmann and wife Samantha; and niece, Karen Coco and husband Dwayne. Preceded in death by son, Steven Pasqua; daughter, Bonnie Pasqua; parents, Joseph and Rosalie Pasqua. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Honor Health Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona who went above and beyond to take care of Frank and treated him like family. Mr. Pasqua was the AP while my three sisters and I attended PHS. He knew us all by name and made it a point to speak to us everyday. I remember being late to school many mornings and having to go see him to get my tardy slips. He was always firm, but in a fatherly way. He had a way of making you feel like you were important and capable of greatness. Such an important quality in an educator! I ran into him at the post office last year while I was there with my husband and three boys. I hadn’t seen him in probably 15 years. He recognized me, remembered my sisters and me by name, and we struck up a conversation. He told me how much he loved running into his old students and seeing how they turned out. He was happy to hear that I became a teacher, and he talked about how much he was enjoying retirement. I left that day feeling happy to have seen him again. He had a way of making others feel good. What a legacy to leave behind!

My husband was also going through treatment at Honor Hospital and was on the same schedule as Frank. I heard all about my husband’s new friend Frank. My husband looked forward to talking with him - he was a bright light during a difficult time. Prayers to your family ❤

Coach
Always loved to see and talk to you.
Even after 49 years you could remember our games from 1971 at CHS.
You always had a wonderful smile and made strangers feel like friends.
Rest in Peace

Words cannot express how I felt about hearing the news of the transition of Frank. He was a God sent to my husband Gerald Trent. Their friendship was both professional and personal. To his family, heaven gained an angel. He and Gerald Trent are busy discussing sports and other current events. Rest well Frank.
You will truly be missed.
