Gloria Elaine Myers-Kador aka "Gal, Tee-Gloria, Granny, Glo" grew up and attended schools in Baton Rouge, LA. She lived in Southern California for over 40 years and returned home to Baton Rouge after retiring from the Los Angeles Community College District's L.A. Trade Technical College. She passed away at Kindred Hospital, West Covina, California on August 29, 2018 at age 71. Gloria was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge and supported several Christian television ministries. Her life long career was in food service and culinary arts. Gloria loved family and gave freely to all. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted Mother, Ruth E. Lanns-Myers, Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Ruth (Al) Moreno – Hesperia, CA, Gwen L. Myers-Thomas and Hazel J. Myers, Baton Rouge, LA; a brother, Jerry D. Myers, Baton Rouge, LA; Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren in California and Nevada – Teaya Cuington, Erin Russ, Mark Kador, Jr., Markeisha Kador, Maurena Kador, Marcus Kador, Mario Kador, Erika Russ, Zariyah McGee, Melvin Lee Anthony Mark Kador and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends in California and Louisiana. Gloria was preceded in death by two husbands, her father, a sister, two brothers, two sons, a daughter, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles. Celebration of Life funeral service to be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 6217 Glen Oaks Drive, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, September 15, 2018 starting at 11AM.
