Grace Poplin went to her eternal home on January 9, 2021 at age 87. She is survived by her children Maureen Layton and husband Blake, Wayne Brogdon and wife Wendy, and Allen Brogdon; two "adopted" daughters, Connie Abboud and Chris Bella; sister Ann McCullough; stepchildren Roger Poplin and wife Marsha, Paul Poplin and wife Mary, Janice Williams and husband Monty, and Marcia Henry; as well as six grandchildren, two great-grandsons and special life-long friend, Juannie Gibbens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Poplin; mother Thelma Prescott, father Edgar Garner and step-father Posey Prescott. Grace was born in Sicily Island, Louisiana on November 25, 1933, and worked at LSU most of her adult life. Momma Grace/Honey was a beautiful example of a life well-lived. The family would like to thank The Pearl at Jamestown and Audubon Hospice for their loving care. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Jefferson United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

Ms Grace worked on Tuesdays with me at Jefferson church. She was a very sweet and gentle woman. She will certainly be missed. Our prayers are with her family and friends.
