Gracie Mae Branch entered into eternal rest at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Friday, January 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was an 82-year-old native of Ethel, Louisiana; a resident of Baton Rouge Louisiana; and was a former teacher at Georgia's Nursery and First Presbyterian Church Daycare. A Reflections and Fellowship service will be held at Miller & Daughter Mortuary, 5905 Hwy.19, Zachary, Louisiana on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6-8 pm; Visitation will be held at Greater King David Baptist Church, 222 Blount Road, Baton Rouge on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 9:00 am until service at 11:00 am; interment at Southern Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her devoted daughters, Karla Denise Branch and Kathy Branch Samuels (Albert), Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Hailey B. Zamora (Freddy), Newport News, Virginia; Olivia M. and William Cole Samuels, Baton Rouge; great-grandchildren, Gabriel O., Daniel J. and Julia M. Zamora, Newport News; siblings, Helen B. Jackson (McHenry) and Nathaniel A. Branch, Jr. (Carolyn), Baton Rouge; Rosena B. Machen (Lonnie Sr,) and Celestine B. Davis, Zachary; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel A. Sr. and Martha Spann Branch; and a sister, Georgia B. Square.
