A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Lettsworth, she died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 74. Visiting at Sweet Home Baptist Church on Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Roosevelt Pryer Sr. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Diane M. Sheppard, of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ridley; brother, Jimmy Williams; and her parents. She was an usher at Sweet Home Baptist Church. Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, is in charge of arrangements.
