Homer "David" Thompson went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 1 surrounded by his family at his home in Pine Grove, Louisiana. Preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Gibson, sister Irene Bryant brother Perry Jones of Fitzgerald, GA and grandson Brandon Harris of Calhoun, Ga. The loving soul is survived by his wife of 37 years Dianna Thompson, 2 sons John Thompson of Neiderstaufenbach, Germany, David Alan Colligan of Denham Springs, LA, 3 daughters Gretchen Corvi of Calhoun, GA, Ginger Leigh Thompson of Trenton, GA, Jennifer Thompson of Cedar Bluff, AL, 1 step daughter Belinda Colligan of Maryland, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed working as a painter his entire life. Enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was never short of a joke for any situation and would certainly have one for this. He always had a trick up his sleeve and did things his way, ......and he got the last laugh!
