Jack Whitaker Obituary

Jack Randall Whitaker left this world on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 4:10 p.m. A resident of Central, La., he was 37 years old. The beloved son of Lisa and Jack Whitaker and loving brother and brother-in-law to Holly Whitaker Gascon and Chris Gascon, nephews, Carson and Gavin. Jack was a free spirit who lived life on his terms. He was a dreamer. He was an artist. He could brighten the room with his smile, his attitude, his presence. He brought so much love and happiness to every life he touched. He loved science and science fiction, Da Vinci and Dali, the complexity of existential theories and the simplicity of shooting stars. He created art and music, loved his motorcycle and movies. Above all, he loved his family...he loved his friends. Jack is loved by his grandmother, Carol Dodge, his "Aunt Nell", Danell Brice, his aunt and uncle, Connie Maggio Lassere and Darryl Lassere, his uncle, Charles Bonaventure, and numerous cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doris and Emile Maggio, paternal great-grandmother, Elsie Davidson and maternal grandfather, Dale Dodge, aunt, Brenda Bonaventure. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. with memorial service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to O'Brien House, 1231 Laurel Street, B.
