I can’t believe that I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment because I didn’t get to tell you bye. I consider myself blessed to have lived this life as your nephew and I am extremely proud.

Man, you touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. Your dedication to a cause was what set you apart.

If, I could, I would want everyone to experience what it was like to have had such a great uncle like yourself.

Peanut, you were and will always be an inspiration to myself and anyone who knew you. I will always think about the great times we shared, the conversations about life and those “SU Jaguars.”

While I mourn, I will also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth has been fulfilled and I thank the Lord, for your time and bid you farewell until we meet again.

Peanut had a contagious personality, always happy in any situation, he could turn things around and make you forget what happened that had you upset. I remember when we road the bus together each morning to Southern University for classes from Clinton. Peanut got on the bus laughing, kept everyone awake when we were trying to take a nap on the way and got off the bus for classes laughing that he did that to us. What joy to have known him and shared moments in his life. To the family, I am so sorry for the absence you are experiencing now but God will bring you through this.
