I met Janet through her aunt Ruth Whitworth. I enjoyed the several visits we had in San Francisco and our chats on the phone when I was back home in Canada. My sincere condolences to her family.

I met Janet before she and Brother Dickie were married. He was our pastor at Palestine UMC at the time. She made the punch at my bridal shower. I still have the recipe card with her name on it. This giving couple made a great impact on my life. I am so sorry that everyone must go on without these two. I know that they are together again after touching so many lives. This makes me happy. They will always remain a big part of the fabric of my life and I am thankful to God for them and their contributions. My love to her family and prayers continue for you.

Janet is one of the loveliest women I have ever met. She and I were in the Carnahan Book Study program together at First United Methodist Church, which met on Wednesday afternoons. I loved her questions and her perspective on life. I will miss her.
