Jimmie "Cooney" Lee Conrad Jr. passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the age of 68. He was a native of Natchez, MS and lifelong resident of Baker, LA. For the last 15 years of his life, Jimmie dedicated himself to AA by being clean and sober. He leaves behind many brothers and sisters in AA who loved and appreciated him. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle to his family and was a generous and kind man that lived his life helping others. Jimmie is survived by his son, Trace Stuart Conrad; sisters, Belinda Sue Conrad, Theresa Conrad-Michael and Jodie Nell Wilkinson; brothers, Loran Jackson Conrad and Walter "Buck" Guy Wilkinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Conrad; and parents, Jimmie Lee Conrad, Sr. and Margie Nell Wilkinson. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice Compassus, especially his nurse, Monica Ned.
