John D Travis was a good friend and a good State Representative, who cared deeply about the people of the Felicianos. He fought to support and preserve East Louisiana State Hospital, because the hospital was greatly needed by the patients and the citizens for jobs. He joins his beloved wife and leaves his daughter and friends with many good memories!!! God grant him eternal rest.

What a legacy he leaves to East Feliciana Parish and south Louisiana. Hospitals, schools, jobs-always trying to help make things better for everyone. I loved to watch him when the legislature was in session. Mr. John would not back up from a grizzly bear and stood up for "his people". Rest in peace and I send my prayers and love to his beautiful family.

We were sad to hear about your father Saraphia. What a wonderful blessing to have him living with you and Josh as he battled cancer. He was a wonderful man and helped so many during his lifetime. The comfort and care that you provided helped to fill the loneliness of being without the love of his life. He and your Mother were a very important part of our family. We loved the stories they told about their adventures together on the road in their motor home. And the wonderful stories your Dad shared about his dedicated service to Jackson, East Feliciana, and Louisiana. Our love and prayers are with you and all of the family. Harvey and Elaine
