I will miss my friend and our quiet talks about life, politics, and the mindsets people should have. He was a wealth of knowledge and a comfort to me because he was the same no matter what and he spoke his mind. Rest on my friend and Family, I love you and share your pain.

I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the Coates Family during this bereaved time! Mr. John Henry Coates was a remarkable neighbor and incredible friend to the Johnson family: Annette Johnson and late grandparents, Leola Johnson and Earl Johnson (Shaffett Lane, Zachary, LA). His big personality that filled the room, his amazing wit and laughter as well as his servant heart to offer assistance to a fellow neighbor will be sorely missed by many. May the fond memories bring comfort and peace to the family in the days ahead - to God Be the Glory!

Deacon J. Coates will surely be missed from the Little Rock Baptist Church and the Zachary communities. He was a faithful member and I remembered him as a little boy growing up in the church. My mom (Ms. Charleatha Neff) always said good things about him. Our sympathy goes out to the Coates family & may God bless them too. RIP Bro Coates!!!
