Our mother, Johnette Hollingsworth Pizzolato, became the brightest star in the sky on January 12, 2021. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on July 14, 1931. She was raised in Plaquemine, LA; lived and raised her family in Boothville-Venice, LA for 50 years before moving back to Plaquemine to live out the reminder of her life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. celebrated by Father Todd Lloyd. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. She is survived by her children, Blake Pizzolato and wife Dawn, Floretta Gulotta, Brenda Ourso and husband John "Doonie", and Peggy Allain and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Emily Ourso Arceneaux and husband Gary, Katie Pizzolato Deschner and husband Ryan, Ory Gulotta and wife Melissa, Chet Allain and wife Elise, Ellie Gulotta Ourso and husband Deric, Kirk Allain and wife Dusti, and honorary granddaughter, Gabrielle Landry; great-grandchildren, Brock Bourg, Julia Ourso, Annalynn Allain, Jacob Ourso, Carter Gulotta, Sam Deschner, Kent Allain, George Allain, Reece Deschner, Owen Gulotta, John-Paul Allain, and James "Little one" Allain; sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Pizzolato, Loyce Pizzolato, and Gail Pizzolato; and brother-in-law, Raymond Schexnayder. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Sam" Charles Pizzolato; parents, Johnnie and Etna Williams Hollingsworth; son-in-law, Orian Gulotta, daughter-in-law, Alma Pizzolato; great grandson, Kirk Allain, Jr. and sister, Patricia Gaddis. Johnette was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and Granny. She especially cherished her grandchildren and the special times that she got to spend with each of them. Johnette lived a full life taking care of her home and yard, fishing with her husband, and doing whatever she could to help others. She had a generous heart and always put others before herself. Special thanks to Gale Robinson and Beverly Wheeler for the love, care, and support that they provided to our mother.
