Jonathan Dencausse Obituary

Jonathan Michael Dencausse, 35, a native and resident of Gonzales, passed away at his home on Friday, May 11, 2018. He is survived by his grandmothers, Pearl Guitreau and Betty "Honey" Peytavin; parents, Jeanne (Guitreau) and Steve Peytavin, and Larry and Sherrie (Johnson) Dencausse; siblings, Joshua and Courtney Dencausse, Allison and Ben Laurie, Shaun and Brandy Templet, William and Lindsay Peytavin, Halie Peytavin, and Charlie Peytavin; nephews, Christian, Parrish, and Quinn; nieces, Anna, Harper, Audrey, and Hannah; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Valmond "Jack" Guitreau, Arnold & Jewel Dencausse, August & Elizabeth Johnson, The Honorable John "Pops" Peytavin, and godfather Michael Dencausse. Jonathan was a people person and never met a stranger. He enjoyed fast cars, video games, ATVs, ping pong, and his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his godson Christian and his beloved dog Boudin. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Fellowship Church, Prairieville, LA, and 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, May 18, 2018, with service to follow. He will be laid to rest immediately following at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park, Prairieville, LA. Church Funeral Services will be managing the arrangements.
