Joseph Delma Cointment III, age 81, of Dallas, Texas passed away on August 5, 2018. He was born June 18, 1937 in New Orleans and grew up in Plaquemine, Louisiana. Joe attended high school at Sewanee Military Academy. He received a BSEE and MSEE from Caltech, and a PhD from SMU. He retired from Texas Instruments after 23 years. Joe enjoyed playing golf, duplicate bridge, and traveling, especially cruises. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, and he adored his dogs and grand-dogs. He also loved a good meal. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Delma Cointment, Jr., and son-in-law Steve Moore. He is survived by his wife, Kay Cointment; daughter Kitty Polly; daughter Carolyn Nolan and husband David; sisters Janie LeBlanc and husband Jerry, and Chinkie Cointment and partner Patsy Picard. Visitation will be held in Plaquemine at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion on September 15 from 10:00 AM until Funeral service and burial at 11:00 AM.
