Joseph P. Burris, Jr., born on May 26, 1941, peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Butterfly Wing Hospice Care Center in the presence of family. Visitation Friday, January 18, 2019 8:00 am until Homegoing Service at 10:00 am, Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA conducted by Reverend Donald Sterling of Greater St. John Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Pilgrim Benevolence Cemetery.
