"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8) Keifer Jerrard Johnson, 28, departed this temporal earth and returned to his heavenly home on December 21, 2016. His ascension is sealed as the word of God declares in Ephesians 1:13, "In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit." Keifer was born to Robyn and Christopher Johnson on December 18, 1988. Keifer, a wordsmith in his own right, was an artistic soul who chose to express himself through his lyrics. He was a loving son and brother, a devoted father and a soon-to-be welder. Keifer was blessed with a large and loving family. He was set to marry his best friend and fiancé Charlene Everidge. He leaves behind four sons, Keifer Johnson Jr., Kameron Johnson, King Johnson, and Karter Freeman; his mother Robyn Johnson; his father Christopher Johnson; and his brother James E. Chinn Jr. Keifer is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert C. Johnson Sr. of Walker, LA. The family will be hosting a memorial service in his honor December 27 at 10 a.m. at the Kingdom Life Family Center on 8894 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations for his memorial and his sons can be made via
