Kenny's 41 years of life and struggle ended on September 20, 2015 when he left this earth bound for the beauty and peace of heaven, and the welcoming arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Anyone who knew him can attest that Kenny was hard working and dedicated to any job that he undertook. Whatever struggles were encountered in his life; he always dealt with them in a positive, no-nonsense fashion. He loved participating in outdoor activities like skateboarding, cycling, jogging and hiking, and he worked diligently to stay in good physical shape with routine exercise. He also enjoyed playing video games with Parker, cuddling with his nieces, reading and watching movies. Kenny was blessed with a wonderful and unceasing sense of humor and nothing could rival the love he shared with his nieces, nephew and cousins. Kenny is survived by his parents, Gregory and Carolyn Songy Galloway of Brusly; brother, Steven Galloway and wife Regina of Clinton, Mississippi; nephew, Parker Galloway; nieces, Payton and Paige Galloway; grandparents, Milton and Marceline Naquin of Brusly, and Gloria Galloway of Lakeland; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Steven Ray and Geneva Songy and John (J.C.) Galloway. Visitation will be held at Wilbert's Funeral Home, Port Allen on Wednesday, September 23 from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Thursday, September 24 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, celebrated by Rev. Matthew Lorrain. Entombment will follow at the Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Galloway, Parker Galloway, Clayton Hebert, Richard Hebert, Charles Walters, and Thomas Leblanc. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the O'Brien House, Baton Rouge, LA. Please share memories online at

Mr. and Mrs. Galloway, I am very sad and remorseful in discovering this horrible news. Kenny was a classmate of mine at Our Lady of the Lake, and he and I had become close the past couple of months; we talked about how hard school was, women, cars, the gym.. you name it. I always enjoyed talking with him, he was a real guy's guy. Everyone loved and respected Kenny for his wisdom and hard work. Rest assured he will not be forgotten.
