Larry Wayne Strickland went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 15. He was being visited and comforted by his family at Villa Feliciana Medical Complex in Jackson, LA, at the time of his passng. Larry was 54 years old and a longtime resident of Greenwell Springs, LA. He was an arborculturist & tree specialist who was most recently employed with BREC, maintaining & removing trees in the Baton Rouge area parks. Larry attended Clear Creek United Methodist Church in Clnton, LA. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Clovis & Dolores Strickland of Greenwell Springs, LA; his maternal grandparents Edward & Blossom Dean of Baton Rouge; his paternal grandparents Clayton & Grace Strickland of Greensburg, LA; & a nephew Aubrey (AJ) Lowrey Jr. of Watson, LA. Larry is survived by his four daughters, Jackie, Jamie, Jasmine & Kimberly Strickland; four grandchildren, Kylee Knapps & Cadon, Jaycee and Shaylee Stovall; his sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth & David Collins of Clinton, LA; his brother Dean Strickland of Greenwell Springs, LA; & his biological mother Dale Farrington of Bossier City, LA. There will be only a small private graveside service in Larry's honor. The family appreciates your sympathy & prayers & asks that you consider planting a tree in memory of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle & friend, Larry Strickland. Special thanks to the staff at Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, who always cared for Larry with great skill, compassion & dignity.
