A retired custodian and resident of Alsen, he died Friday, July 27, 2012, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs. He was 104 and a native of Zachary. Visiting at Magnolia Grove Baptist Church, 17762 Old Scenic Highway, Zachary, on Thursday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by Rev. James Bennett. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens, Baton Rouge. Survived by his three daughters, Dorothy Richardson, Amite, Almeania Jordan and Mable Johnson, both of Chicago; three stepdaughters, Mattie Roper, Jeanette Wright and Claudette Jarrell, all of Baton Rouge; three stepsons, John, Alfred and Tom Clark, all of Baton Rouge; and numerous grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, two sons, two brothers, three sisters and parents.
