Leon was an amazing, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved by all that knew him. He was a native of Iowa Park, Texas, and a resident of Lottie, La., and passed away on December 21, 2017, at the age of 78. He was a retired tool pusher in the oilfield. Leon is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Ann Williams Smith; his children Lonny (Liz) Smith, Ronny ( Kathy) Smith, Sondra (Troy) Thompson and Nancy (Chris) LeCoq; his grandchildren Mike (Laura) Guillory, Jennifer (Rob) Cope, Ronny Smith, Lacy (Dirk) Hardy, Kerri Smith, Leon (Heidi) Guillory, T.J. (Kim) Smith, Hayli (Derrick) Robertson, Christopher LeCoq Jr. and Cameron LeCoq; great-grandchildren Victoria, Tye, D.J., Cody, Annalysse, Jude, Gunner, Chloe and Coy; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Guillory; parents, Sam and Ellie Mae Smith; sisters, Lois, Lou and Wanda; brothers, J.T. and Kenneth Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Juanita Williams. Visiting will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Livonia on Tuesday December 26, 2017, from 8:30 am until religious services in the church at 11 am. Services will be conducted by Rev. Freddie Rodrigue. Interment will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Guillory Jr., Ronny Smith, Leon Guillory, Tommy Smith, Christopher LeCoq Jr. and Cameron LeCoq. Honorary Pallbearers are Rob Cope Jr., Dirk Hardy, Derrick Robertson and great-grandsons. Special thanks to Pointe Coupee Home Health and Hospice.
