September 21, 1934 – January 10, 2019. "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24. Lionel E. Fontenot, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, left us peacefully surrounded by family. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the Korean War Conflict. Retired from Dresser Tools after thirty years of service. Lionel was happily married to Glenda Hughes Fontenot for over fifty-eight years. He is survived by his wife, son Gary and wife Jewel Fontenot, daughter-in-law Renee' Fontenot Phillips (Cliff); grandchildren, Rileigh, Rachel, Jace, Fisher, Jude and Jensen Fontenot; sister Verna Pitre; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Keith Fontenot, parents Eluis and Luna Marie Fontenot, and siblings Bert, Louella and John Winton. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Live Oak United Methodist Church beginning at 9:00am. Dr. Mark Crosby will conduct funeral services at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com.
