Lois Ruth Knutsen Falkey had a full and happy life with enough of everything to get by and a wild sense of humor that made getting by more than enough. As her body wore out and exhaustion took over, she longed to go home. Lois explained to the hospice chaplain that there was a big party gathering with her husband, son, mother, sisters, brothers, and friends, but they couldn't start the party without her, and she hadn't gotten her invitation yet. Her invitation came on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Lois was born on October 23, 1928, in rural Watertown, South Dakota and began her education in a one room school house. The family moved to the city of Watertown, where the school had a room for each grade. Lois attended her last years of high school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she met and later married her one true love. The young couple soon migrated to Miami, Florida, where she thrived for 60 years as a wife, mother, grandmother, realtor, and friend. Constant hurricanes drove her from the tip of Florida to her daughter in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a sister, and daughter, Kjell Flanagan. Lois has found comfort and is much loved in her true home. Those of us left behind will see her again when we get our invitation to the party." God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered, Come with me." A private service to celebrate Lois's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with Church Funeral Services of Baton Rouge.

Lois I will always keep you and Ron in my heart, never forgetting the hot toddy you'd cook up on cold winter nights and the pastrami sandwiches you'd put together for us to take on the Tryst. Rod Rodriguez
