A retired secretary for Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, she died at 9:32 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at home. She was 82 and a resident and native of Greenwell Springs. Visiting at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 13, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the church Wednesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dennis Terry and the Rev. George Terrell. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by her husband, Joseph John Digirolamo; daughters, Margo Digirolamo, Sonia Digirolamo Simoneaux and husband Odon, and Tonia Digirolamo Griffon and husband Moon; son, Dwayne Digirolamo and wife Shirley; sisters, Eleanor Walker, Thelma Bush and Gayle Passman; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mattie Mondart. Pallbearers will be Erik Lee, Justin Digirolamo, Moon Griffon, Odon Simoneaux, Cole Passman, Terry Tridico Sr., Sam Digirolamo and Pat Mack. Honorary pallbearers are Jay Simoneaux, Jared Simoneaux and Walker Griffon. A lifelong resident of Greenwell Springs, she was loved by everyone she met and was Mama Lou to all.
