Lucille Emery Huggins, age 87, transitioned from this life to receive her heavenly reward on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Lucille was born in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. Her parents were the late Jeff Emery, Sr. and Lubertha Quiette Emery. She was a native of St. Francisville, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana for many years. She was a member of Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Lucille was the mother of the late Eldridge Anthony Owens and Eran Andre Owens (Tracie) of Wake Forest, North Carolina. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, which is located at 1414 Sora Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Masks and social distancing are required. There will be no public viewing before, during, or after the service.
