Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Lynn Taylor (McCearley), passed away suddenly at the age of 66 on Tuesday, April 3. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lynn and her husband Rick had retired four years ago to a beach in Ecuador, which is where she was when she passed. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on July 5, 1951 to Leroy and Marguerite (Middleton) Miller, Lynn attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, where she graduated with a degree in Education. She worked as a science and biology teacher for 44 years up until her retirement in 2013. She is survived by her husband, Rick Taylor, of Salinas, Ecuador; sons, Sean (Erica) McCearley of Burbank, CA and Ryan (Anna) McCearley of Houston, TX; step-son, Zak Taylor, and step-daughter, Alexis Taylor, of Roatan, Honduras; grandchildren, Holden and Keegan McCearley; brother, David (Vickie) Miller of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Paige Kelly of Denham Springs, LA; brother, Pat (Diane) Miller of Baton Rouge, LA; a niece and 5 nephews; and countless friends and students whose lives she touched. A lifelong lover of learning, Lynn enjoyed traveling the world, seeing new sights and meeting new people. She was a true "Southern lady" with a kind heart, a wonderful cook and a devoted New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers fan. Visitors are welcome to attend the memorial service to be held on Sunday, April 15 from 1-3pm at: Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
